  • Rec Camp is a conference focused on indoor community recreation, dedicated to educating Parks & Recreation professionals about planning, designing, building, and operating Community Recreation Centers.

    • Tours: Two days of guided tours of seven recreation centers, including a regional mega-center and neighborhood centers, with facility operators on-hand to answer your questions.

  • Registration for the 2026 session will close on March 13, 2026.

  • Yes! As long as you attend all the sessions, tours and Q&A sessions you will get the full amount of Continuing Education Credits.

    The number of CEUs given for 2026 will be confirmed at a later date. Last year’s attendees received 1.4 CEUs.

  • In order to create a personal experience, we limit registration to 42 people. This allows us to group registrants into teams of 8-10 people with two counselors per team.

    We kindly request no more than 3 registrants per agency to ensure as many agencies as possible can be represented.

  • The half-day Community Planning Workshop on Thursday is an interactive session focused on the planning, design, and operations of community recreation centers. Facilitators will guide groups through a role-playing scenario with real life applications. We often hear this is one of the most valuable portions of Rec CAMP. Don't miss it!

  • We will begin and end each day at Embassy Suites - Grapevine DFW Airport North.

    We have a block of rooms reserved.

    Parking is $20 per day.

    The closest airport is the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

  • Embassy Suites - Grapevine DFW Airport North has a fitness center, pool, bar, on-site restaurant, complimentary evening reception and complimentary made-to-order breakfast. Visit the hotel website for more information.

  • Lunch will be provided Tuesday and Wednesday. Food and cocktails will be provided Tuesday evening. Rec CAMP will conclude at 12pm on Thursday. If you plan to stay at the Embassy Suites, they offer a complimentary made-to-order breakfast at 6:00-9:00am each morning.

    If you have any allergies or dietary restrictions we should be aware of, please note it on your registration form or email us at registration@rec-camp.com.

  • Meet at the host hotel (Embassy Suites by Hilton Grapevine DFW Airport North) to catch a bus for tour days on Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Rec CAMP will provide a tour bus to take participants around the DFW area to tour seven recreation facilities. The bus starts and ends each day at our host hotel. For locals, please plan on taking the bus since the education continues on the bus.

    On Thursday, the last session will take place at the host hotel.

    Both of our recommended hotels offer complimentary shuttles for guests to and from the DFW Airport.
