EDUCATION SESSION 4

COMMUNITY PLANNING WORKSHOP

Cap off your Rec CAMP experience with this dynamic, hands-on planning workshop—one of the most engaging and educational sessions of the entire event. In this half-day session, participants will work in teams to plan a community center, role-playing through two contrasting scenarios. You’ll apply everything you’ve learned to evaluate trade-offs, align your vision with available resources, and navigate real-world challenges. Test your strategy with The Card Game, where success means balancing program priorities, staying on budget, and winning stakeholder support. Come ready to collaborate, problem-solve, and walk away with practical insights you can bring back to your agency.
